For more than 75 years, the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM) has been fighting for life, by stimulating and supporting progress that has the potential tomorrow to improve and save lives.
By adopting a multidisciplinary approach, la FRM encourages, selects and finances promising research projects across all diseases: cancers, cardiovascular diseases, neurological and psychiatric diseases, infectious diseases, and others.
Convinced of the importance of fundamental research, the breeding ground for all medical innovation, the FRM lends its support to projects of excellence, aiming to increase the knowledge and know-how needed to develop innovative concepts at the origin of major advances, benefiting our health.
Constantly striving to disseminate the knowledge linked to medical research to as many people as possible, the FRM develops and deploys varied materials providing scientific information.
Each year, the FRM lends its support to more than 400 new research projects conducted in the laboratories of public research bodies and higher education (INSERM, CNRS, INRA, CEA, Universities, prestigious schools, health institutions, etc.).
The FRM is independent and carries out its efforts thanks to the generosity of its donors, testators and partners.
The Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM) is recognized as being for public interest and has been awarded the "Don en confiance" (Giving with confidence) label.
“I am aware that medical research in France needs additional resources. We will continue to promote excellence while striving to ensure that the rate of project selection is sufficient to motivate the best.”
Denis Duverne, Chairman of the Supervisory Board
The FRM brings together volunteers, volunteers involved in regional committees and employees, all committed and driven by the desire to advance research.
